Mgo and Ara Hagopian from Badger Photography win Four Accolades of excellence in the 2013 Awards of excellence 16x20 Print Competition.

Mgo and Ara Hagopian of Montreal, Canada, have received special honors in the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International 2013 Awards of Excellence Print Competition. Designed to recognize photographers, the judging was held in Las Vegas, NV on March 9 and 10, 2013

Winning print WPJ-3470 received an Accolade of Excellence in Wedding Photojournalism category.
WD 2370 received an Accolade of Excellence in the Wedding Details category.

PRE 9370 and PRE 8370 each received an Accolade of Excellence in the Premier category

The photographers of Badger Photography competed against an international field of photographers to win such honors. The awards of Excellence 16x20 Print Competition awards are presented each year at the largest trade show, educational platform and convention in the United States for professional photographers.The 2013 competition included 1900 prints in 23 different categories by photographers from all over the world.

Shooting at the Mount Stephen Club for Elegant Wedding Magazine

It’s now the second year that we’ve been working with the amazing crew at the Elegant Wedding magazine. We’ve done table setups’ shootings at the Montreal Science Center and the Windsor Ballrooms for them last year, and were also the official photographers of their Elegant Wedding Bridal Showcase in November. You can find the pictures in the current issue of the magazine! It’s kinda hard to miss, with all these pages ;)

Since our style has evolved into “fashion-slash-elegant” (quoting other people of course, because we don’t know how to define it ourselves!), the editor-in-chief of the Elegant Wedding magazine approached us with a shooting at the luxurious Mount Stephen Club. If you haven’t been there, you definitely need to see it for yourself to get the feeling! With its impressive wooden walls and elegant curtains, it sure stands out as a very unique and extravagant wedding venue.

Here’s a preview from that shooting. The rest of the pictures will be in the magazine, which will be out in about a month! We are anxiously waiting for it!! There will also be pictures from other shootings we did for the magazine at Espace Reunion and the Windsor Station (NOT the Windsor Ballrooms!). So… it shouldn’t be too hard to spot us in the magazine :)
